Lily

Program Director and Co-Founder

Prior to founding International Ivy in 2011, Lily held numerous roles at Pfizer (2001-2010) including Director of Worldwide Strategy and Innovation. She received her Bachelor of Science in Economics from University of Pennsylvania, the Wharton School, her Master in Business Administration from Harvard University, Harvard Business School and her Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of other Languages (TESOL) from Columbia University, Teachers College. She is a mother of three children.

Elaine

Assistant Program Director and Co-Founder

Elaine spent over twenty years working on Wall Street as controller for billion dollar private equity funds at Goldman Sachs (2006-2010) and Credit Suisse (1996-2004). Elaine is also co-founder of International Ivy and its HR Leader. Elaine is mother of two children.

Jeff

Advisor and Co-Founder

Jeff is an investment executive with 20 years of experience in traditional and alternative markets. He was the Head of Alternative Investments with Nikko Asset Management overseeing $30 billion of assets. He has held senior positions in ACAM Advisor, UBS, Morgan Stanley and Lehman Brothers. Jeff is also an inventor of two patents and a super-computer engineer designer. He has four degrees – a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from NYU, a Bacelor of Engineer in Electrical Engineering from Cooper Union, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from Polytechnic University (now NYU), and a Master in Business Administration from Stern School of Business at NYU.

Site Director – Short Hills

Joe is an Art Teacher in Berkeley Heights during the school year. He is the Site Director at Short Hills. Joe is married with two children, and enjoys watercolor painting.

Kalyna

Site Director – Chatham

Kalyna graduated cum laude from Salve Regina University with a double major in Secondary Education and Spanish. Kalyna is currently a full-time teacher at Chatham Day School. “Nothing is more fulfilling for me than watching children grow and discover how they learn most effectively.” Kalyna has been with International Ivy since its first summer.

Site Director – Caldwell

Jaimee is a full-time first grade teacher during the school year. Jaimee is a graduate of University of Delaware. Jaimee has been with International Ivy since its first summer.

Site Director – Lincroft

Nicole is a graduate of Rutgers University with a Master’s degree in Education and a Bachelor’s degree in English. She is currently a middle school teacher in Sayreville during the school year. Nicole has previously been a teacher and Site Director of Somerset. “If I have my way, I would never leave!

Kenny

Site Director – Somerset

Kenny returns to his third year at International Ivy as a site director. He majored in elementary education with a concentration in middle school English at Kean University. Kenny worked as a substitute teacher during the school year when he was not attending class. He recently finished his ninth and final year volunteering as the assistant teacher at the National Safety Town Program in his hometown. Kenny is looking forward to another outstanding summer at International Ivy!

Site Director – Scotch Plains

Jackie is beginning her third summer with International Ivy. She graduated from Rutgers University with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Jackie is currently attending Hofstra University in order to pursue a PhD program in clinical psychology. She had a great summer as a counselor in her first year, then as Site Director of Scotch Plains in her second year.

Site Director – Far Hills

Mike teaches high school science in Central New Jersey. Mike’s experiences at other camps have trained him well for a leadership position at International Ivy. In his first year working at International Ivy, he was the Site Director of the Oakland location where he has many good memories.

Head Counselor- Short Hills

This is Chloe’s third summer at International Ivy. Chloe attends New York University. She is excited for another great summer at International Ivy!

Head Counselor – Chatham

Julia is a student at the University of Maryland. She is majoring in Kinesiology and hopes to become a physical therapist. For fun, Julia dances, plays soccers, and goes to the gym. During the summer, in addition to working at camp, Julia can be found tanning at the beach. Overall, Julia is looking forward to having a great summer at International Ivy in Chatham!

During the school year, he is a Special Education Mathematics teacher at Manchester Regional High School in Haledon, NJ. He looks forward to another summer at International Ivy.

Yve has been a technology education teacher for the past seven years. She has taught courses such as video game design, website design, and technical drawing to students in grades K-12.

Omar returns as a technology instructor for International Ivy. He is currently a rising junior at Cornell University, where he is majoring in Computer Science. Omar cannot wait to begin teaching this summer!

Rebecca is a sophomore Interactive Multimedia student at The College of New Jersey. She is entering her third year at International Ivy. Rebecca loves to work with new computer programs, learn new coding languages, and do digital art and design.

Daniel Ruthman is a rising senior at Ithaca College studying Business Administration and minoring in Computer Science. In addition to working as an instructor and curriculum developer at International Ivy, Dan runs a freelance web development company and works as a teaching assistant, tutor and Enterprise Content Management Asst. at Ithaca College.

Instructor – Robotics

Oscar is a middle school science and robotics teacher. He has taught for 10 years now. Oscar loves being in the classroom seeing and hearing students enjoying the subjects he teaches. He spends his free time reading, and practicing math, science, and technology through the maker community. Oscar also enjoys physical activities including biking, snowboarding, dancing, and hiking.

Vin is a life-long science educator (20 years as a high school chemistry and physics teacher). Son of a tinkerer, he loves to encourage students to be an observer of the world and a problem-solver. Vin looks forward to share my passion of science, investigation, and observation of the world.

Michael is a computer science major at New Jersey Institute of Technology. He had my first computer science class when I was 14, and have been coding ever since. In my spare time, I play guitar and video games.

Instructor – Performing Arts

Randy has performed on Broadway, in national tours, and at many professional regional theatres throughout the country, including New Jersey’s own, Paper Mill Playhouse. During the school year, Randy teaches Theatre Arts at Warren County Technical School in Washington.

Stephen is happy to be a Robotics and Technology teacher at International Ivy this summer. During the school year, he is an elementary music teacher in Ridgewood, NJ, and serves as a technology coach for teachers to better their classroom with technology. Stephen is excited to continue bettering young students lives through technology education.

Tara is thrilled to be returning to International Ivy for a second summer. A high school French teacher during the school year, Tara prefers spending the summer reconnecting with her second passion, math! Tara is a CRLA certified mathematics tutor with 5 years of experience in tutoring math. She is looking forward to spending a fun and enriching summer sharing her love of math with a new set of campers!

Grace is a business and technology education teacher at Mount Olive High School. She is completing her 21st year of teaching and her 10th year at Mount Olive. After earning her master’s degree in Educational Technology in 2006, Grace started teaching Computer Applications at Warren County College and County College of Morris. She teaches one class at each location per semester. Grace is looking forward to working at International Ivy this summer!

This is Justin’s third summer with International Ivy teaching the Minecraft and robotics classes. He has enjoyed his time here, and hope to enjoy many more summers here.

Instructor – Youngster

Christina is the Youngster teacher at International Ivy in Chatham. This is her second year with the summer program. Christina is a graduate of Seton Hall University and holds certifications in both elementary education and special education. She has both taught and assisted in a variety of general and special education settings throughout her career thus far. Most recently, Christina has spent the school year teaching kindergarten. She is extremely hands-on and strives to meet the different needs of all of her students. Christina creates an engaging classroom environment here at International Ivy, and looks forward to providing a wonderful summer of creativity, learning, and fun to her students!

Bill has been astounding audiences in cities across the US and Canada for over four decades in numerous venues including the Magic Castle in Hollywood, California . He has taught thousands of professional magicians through his lectures, videos, books and articles.

Michael finished his freshman year at Carnegie Mellon University, studying Mechanical Engineering and Robotics. In his free time, he enjoys nature and birdwatching.

Peter has been a counselor at International Ivy for 3 years, mainly at Short Hills. He is currently a junior at Rutgers University studying Pre-Vet medicine. His hobbies include swimming, skateboarding, reading, and playing video games.

Emma will be a junior in high school in the fall. She will be a counselor at International Ivy for her third summer! She is very excited to work with kids and have a lot of fun!

Counselor

Austin is currently at Colgate University, where he studies mathematical economics and pre-law, and plays rugby for the Colgate’s Men’s Rugby Team. In Austin’s free time, he enjoys fishing, camping, playing sports, and watching movies.
